Trekkers with Adventure Kokoda are met at the Port Moresby airport on arrival and escorted by our leaders at all times until they depart at the end of their trek
For those who wish to extend their stay our team at the Sogeri Lodge can arrange a car and/or a bus with a driver and a guide to show you the sights.
All the major hotels also offer guided tours around Port Moresby.
Most of the major car-rental companies now operate in Port Moresby and they will provide a driver on request.
We do not recommend that you use taxis or public transport - or that you visit places without an escort.

Charlie has led 101 expeditions across the Kokoda Trail over the past 32 years.
He previously served in the Australian Army for 21 years. During this time he saw active service in Vietnam; was assigned to the joint Australian, New Zealand and British (ANZUK) Force in Singapore/ Malaysia from 1970-72, and as an exchange instructor in Airborne Logistics with the United States Army from 1977-78. He is a graduate of the Army Command and Staff College.
