Departure from Port Moresby

Your trek leader will advise you of the timings for reveille, breakfast, clean-up and assembly for your transport to the airport.

By now you will appreciate the spectacular beauty of one of Mother Nature’s favourite sons – the Owen Stanley Ranges - the humble, generous and sincere nature of the Koiari and Orokaiva villagers - the meaning of unconditional mateship amongst your group - and a deep understanding of those four words engraved on the granite pillars of Isurava: Courage-Sacrifice-Endurance-Mateship.

If you wish to leave any of your medical supplies or smelly clothing behind they will be donated to the local health centre at Sogeri.

And if you would like to leave a small footprint behind you might like to consider joining our Kokoda network of custodians and make a small regular donation to assist us in supporting local educational scholarships; healthcare and community development. You can find our more information on our Network Kokoda website here or become a Facebook Friend by clicking here

You don’t have to give much but as you will now appreciate – little things make a big difference in PNG.

Check-in time at the Port Moresby airport for your return flight home will be approximately 11:00 am to ensure your seat is confirmed. Air Niugini are notorious for ‘bumping’ passengers to a later flight (often the next day) so it’s best to check in at least three hours ahead of your departure flight time and relax in the bar-restaurant area of the duty-free section.
