Our Adventure Kokoda trek guides are simply the best. They are recruited from Koiari and Orokaiva villages along the track.
During your journey you will find that they will be totally devoted to assiting you to complete the trek safely.
Along the way they will talk to you about their family, their village and their culture. At our campsites they will erect your tent for you, get a warm fire going each night and then prepare a wholesome meal.
They truly are proud custodians of selfless support their grandfathers gave to our diggers during our hour of need.
At the end of each trek we have a small ceremony where each trekker is invited to donate a gratuity of K80 (about $40) to a pool which is then presented to the Head PNG guide for distribution to his team.
If trekkers wish to make any additional donations of clothing or camping gear then that is OK - it is certainly much appreciated.
